I found a black cat on my roof tonight. She is lovely with green eyes, no collar, a somewhat saggy belly and is very friendly. I put some food out for her, but am convinced she didn’t come from my building (our roof door is always closed unless someone’s up there).

I am afraid to bring her in because what if she’s stray and gets Madame sick? Also, my roommate would probably eat me and the two cats for dinner because, well, because.

I am tempted to bring home a sister, Mademoiselle, for Madame, but I just can’t.
