Revelation I should have had at least 5 years ago:

Since 7th grade, I’ve had 13+ hour days. In high school, it was for theatre, or musical, or Model UN or yearbook. In college, it was for a cappella, or musical, or choir, or tour guiding, or studying. And every job I have had since 2005 has involved events, usually three or so nights per week, or at least 11-hour days. So, for 6 years of my career, and 9 or 10 years of school, I’ve left the house around 8a, and gotten home after 8p or 9p.
