The difference between these pronunciations and phonetic spelling is hysterical. Using the phonetic alphabet (it’s universal and international!), you’d get a correct pronunciation guide for “ail dou nott caire.” Reading this guide aloud just makes any speaker sound like a Pepe Le Pew-style caricature.
